C.H. Robinson Provides Support for Indiana Charities

C.H. Robinson, a global third party logistics (3PL) company, and its Indianapolis and Fort Wayne offices contributed to a month-long, company-wide, employee-led giving campaign which raised a total of $791,000 for a variety of local and national charities. In addition to the Robinson Cares campaign fundraising, employees accumulated more than 1,450 volunteer hours, helping their neighbors in need.

The Indianapolis office hosted several events including a tap takeover for 200 members of the public. Their activities raised $3,500 for the Riley Children’s Foundation. “Riley has one of the nation’s leading pediatric research programs, with physician-scientists investigating better ways to treat childhood cancer, diabetes, heart defects, asthma and many other illnesses,” said Brad Stayback, sales executive at C.H. Robinson. “Several of our employees are tied to this organization, either through personal experience or previous fundraising efforts. We have a great relationship with the wonderful people at Riley, and we are already brainstorming ideas for next year’s campaign.”

Employees at the Fort Wayne office collected over 1,000 pounds of dry dog and cat food, in addition to a cash donation, for the Fort Wayne Pet Food Pantry, an organization that distributes the food to families who cannot afford to feed their pets. Additionally, employees donated time to bag over 2,000 pounds of dry dog and cat food for distribution. “This organization depends completely on donations of time and money from the community,” said Katie Ruch, account coordinator at C.H. Robinson. “I am incredibly proud that our people came together to donate so much food to animals in need in our community.”

Since 2005, C.H. Robinson, along with its Foundation, has given over $23 million back to our communities.

“Our employees are the best in the industry — not just in their supply chain expertise, but their dedication to making an impact in their communities on the issues that matter to them most,” said Angie Freeman, chief human resources officer at C.H. Robinson. “Because of them, we were able to support more than 250 nonprofits working locally and globally.”
