University of Phoenix College of Education Accepting Applications for Teacher Appreciation Scholarship Program

University of Phoenix® College of Education today announced it is offering 20 full-tuition Master of Arts in Education scholarships through its Teacher Appreciation Scholarship Program to help current and prospective teachers realize their higher education goals. The scholarship is open to current and prospective educators working at a P-12 school or school district.

“The Teacher Appreciation Scholarship program was created to support individuals who work diligently to achieve their higher education goals and use their education to teach others,” said Dr. Pamela Roggeman, academic dean for University of Phoenix College of Education. “We are privileged to help prepare today’s educators for success in their classrooms.”

Now in its fifth year, 172 awards have been given to teachers looking to further their education.

To be eligible, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must currently be working at a P-12 school or school district
  • Must pursue a Master of Arts in Education if accepted
  • Must not be currently enrolled, nor in the process of enrolling, at University of Phoenix

A complete application and supporting documentation must be submitted before Feb. 22, 2017. The scholarship is open to the first 300 qualified applicants who meet the defined eligibility criteria and may close early once all applications are submitted. Recipients will be chosen by the scholarship selection committee and announced on May 5, 2017.
