C.H. Robinson, a global leader in third party logistics (3PL), is hosting Robinson Cares events at its Grand Rapids office the third week of September. The goal of the community giving campaign is for employees to raise $6,000 to buy fleece jackets for every student at Westwood Middle School.

“Here in the Grand Rapids office, we want to make an impact in our neighborhood,” said Adam Earle, training consultant at C.H. Robinson. “When searching for charities to be involved with, we came across this middle school that’s less than a mile from our office. We knew that we wanted to help!”

Since establishing a relationship with the middle school, the employees have built and stained 10 picnic tables. During this campaign, employees will donate funds for the jackets by participating in a variety of activities including food truck lunches, outdoor events and a lip sync battle.

Over the last 17 years, C.H. Robinson’s corporate headquarters in Eden Prairie, Minn. has hosted Robinson Cares Week the third week of September, raising over $2.6 million for local and national charities. To make a bigger impact, offices throughout North America are participating in this initiative.
