Easing Ukrainian Tensions Send Markets Soaring

The easing of tensions in Ukraine sent the markets soaring to a sharply higher close with the Dow rocketing 227 points to 16,395. Nasdaq leaped 74 points to 4351. 

On the upside 

JinkoSolar Holding (NYSE: JKS) swung to a profit for the fourth quarter as revenue surged.

Regatta Solutions ordered two Capstone C800 and a Capstone C1000 natural gas micro turbines and from Capstone Turbine (Nasdaq: CPST).

INSYS Therapeutics (Nasdaq: INSY) reversed year ago losses to post a profit for the fourth quarter and announced a three-for-two stock split.

On the downside

Gentiva Health Services (Nasdaq: GTIV) disappointed with an unexpected loss for the fourth quarter.

The Law Offices of Howard G. Smith opened an investigation into Forest Oil (NYSE: FST) for possible securities violations.

Acura Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: ACUR) widened losses for the fourth quarter.

In the broad market, advancing issues outpaced decliners by a margin of nearly 5 to 1 on both the NYSE and on Nasdaq. The broader S&P 500 leaped 28 points to 1873. Bitcoin edged up $4.94 or 0.75% to $664.50.
