Cautious investors lifted the markets modestly during the midday with the Dow rising 27 points to 16,136. Nasdaq added 2 points to 4262. 

On the upside 

Shares of Castlight Health (NYSE: CSLT) more than doubled in its market debut.

Coffee Holding (Nasdaq: JVA) reported higher first quarter earnings.

VAALCO Energy (NYSE: EGY) reversed year ago losses to post a profit for the fourth quarter.

On the downside

Levi & Korsinsky filed a class action lawsuit against NII Holdings (Nasdaq: NIHD) for allegedly making false and misleading statements about the company’s financial state. 

Ocean Power Technologies (Nasdaq: OPTT) reported a loss for the third quarter as revenue plunged to fall short of analyst expectations.

Dyax (Nasdaq: DYAX) priced its public offering of 8 million common shares at the discounted price of $9.25 per share.

In the broad market, advancing issues outpaced decliners by a margin of nearly 3 to 2 on the NYSE and by nearly 7 to 5 on Nasdaq. The broader S&P 500 added a point to 1848. Bitcoin slipped $8.23 or 1.29% to $629.75.
