Higher close as euro zone finance ministers to meet tomorrow

Euro zone finance ministers agreed to meet tomorrow which lifted the markets to a higher close with the Dow rising 23 points to 17,619. Nasdaq gained 28 points to 4,986.

On the upside

RBC Capital Markets initiated coverage of Fitbit (NYSE: FIT) with an Outperform rating.

RCS Capital (NYSE: RCAP) agreed to credit modifications with its secured lenders.
 
Bargain hunters lifted shares of Progenics Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: PGNX).

On the downside

Pieris Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: PIRS) elected Dr. Jean-Pierre Bizzari to its Board of Directors at the annual shareholders meeting today.

Australia cut its iron ore price forecast for 2015 sending shares of Cliffs Natural Resources (NYSE: CLF) lower.

Willis Group will acquire Towers Watson (Nasdaq: TW) in an all stock deal valued at approximately $18 billion.
 
In the broad market, advancing issues outpaced decliners by a margin of more than 3 to 2 on the NYSE and by 5 to 3 on Nasdaq. The broader S&P 500 gained 5 points to 2063. Bitcoin climbed $8 to $263.
