The aim of the conference is to ensure women's business enterprises (WBEs) have significant opportunities to network with potential buyers from corporate America, government entities and other women-owned businesses. The conference is open to the public and promises over 50 participating corporations and government agencies, with the opportunity for certified WBEs to meet one-one-one, the ability to network with over 200 diverse business owners and attend workshops presented by corporate, certified WBEs, and government agencies.

"We're honored to have Eric be a panelist at the conference, and host this informative workshop. With over 25 years of experience Eric brings a wealth of knowledge to the conference. He's well versed on all the policies when it comes to how the SCE complies with public law, as well as California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) rules and regulations related to diverse business enterprise procurement practices," stated Dr. Pamela Williamson, President of WBEC-WEST.

"After a subcontracting program has been established, it is important to build programs to engage prime suppliers with diverse businesses to help meet business goals. A Tier 2 program will allow subcontractors to build a relationship with the prime supplier by providing them the opportunity to demonstrate their strong performance, expand capacity and gain experience in working indirectly with the corporation," she added.
