Nufabrx Launches New Acne Treatment Pillowcase

Nufabrx, a company based in Seattle, WA, has introduced a pillowcase that is designed specifically for people with skin that is prone to acne. It was created to help people achieve clearer, healthier skin, and it is hoped that the pillowcase will help people worldwide.

"I founded Nufabrx in 2011 after a trip to the dermatologist where I learned that pillowcases are one of the leading causes of acne/blemishes, and we are supposed to wash our pillowcases every 2 to 3 days," says Jordan Schindler, founder and CEO of Nufabrx. "As a teen male in college, I realized there was no way this was ever going to happen! So off I went to find a better way. After years of R&D, fine tuning and teaming up with a brilliant PhD formulation scientist from Minneapolis, we have developed a revolutionary patent pending platform technology that enables us to embed essential oils and medications into fabric. Our first product is the Nufabrx Pillowcase, a bamboo pillowcase embedded with tea tree oil and lavender that release while you sleep. This is just the first of many exciting products designed to make a person's life just a little bit better, a little bit easier."

The Nufabrx pillowcase for blemish prone skin uses nano-encapsulation, a patent pending technology that is backed by scientific research. Nano-encapsulation enables the bamboo pillowcase fibers to be embedded with an all natural serum that absorbs into the skin. These natural ingredients are engineered to slowly release over a period of up to 4 months of washing and use. The serum itself is a proprietary blend of lavender, lemon balm, tea tree oil and wintergreen oil. This mixture is gently and slowly released into the skin as a person sleeps.

"The proprietary blend released by Nufabrx in their pillow case is designed to help people achieve more beautiful skin," says Dr. Susan Emeritt, dermatologist. "Tea tree oil in particular is known to open up pores in a gentle manner and is one of the most effective natural acne treatments known to man. The other oils and herbs in the blend have similar effects and the lavender will help people to achieve better sleep. Sleep is vital in restoring overall health and well-being and helps to reduce acne as well."

The fact that the pillowcase is made from bamboo fibers is of particular interest. Bamboo is becoming more common as a fabric due to its amazing properties. It is comfortably soft, lightweight and helps to keep a person cool during hot days, and warm during cold seasons. Additionally, bamboo is one of the most sustainable materials available on the planet.
