PredictWallStreet.com Announces Updates to the Facebook App: PWS Daily Stock Prediction Challenge
The PWS Daily Stock Prediction Challenge is being updated on Monday, July 21, 2014. PredictWallStreet first released the PWS Daily Stock Challenge on Facebook in October 2013. PredictWallStreet has been running stock prediction contests on their website, www.PredictWallStreet.com, since 2006. During that time, PredictWallStreet has paid out a total of over $100,000 in prize winnings. The Facebook contest, modeled after the PWS Classic website contest, occurs twice as often as the website contest, so winnings are distributed twice as often!
The PWS Daily Stock Prediction Challenge is a Facebook App in which users are evaluated on the accuracy of their stock market predictions in conjunction with Facebook friends and family who are also participating. The new updates include a change in the scoring system to rely only on the user’s individual stock prediction accuracy and adds a monthly raffle ($200 prize) based on user participation. With these updates, a user’s chances of winning are augmented through the addition of the raffle based on participation, rather than accuracy–giving users more opportunities to win!
Contests begin on the first market open day of the week (normally Monday) and run until the end of the week (normally Friday), with contest results evaluated thereafter. Get in on the fun! Find the PWS Daily Stock Prediction Challenge at: http://apps.facebook.com/pwscontest.
Aggregate predictions from PredictWallStreet’s online community of thousands of traders and investors are processed through proprietary collective intelligence algorithms to produce daily forecasts of stock and index movements. Contests are a way to generate an increase in predictions, which adds to the collective intelligence fueling the algorithms, as well as engage with and reward predictors for their effort.
“We’re very pleased to announce our presence on Facebook in this way. As we move forward with our multiple Social Media initiatives, the Facebook contest is a great way for predictors to be able to interact with one another as well as challenge one another in a larger group,” explained Craig Kaplan, CEO, PredictWallStreet.
