Career actress, only surviving member of The Mamas and the Papas, and Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Michelle Phillips will be honored for Lifetime Achievement and David Harrison Levi to be honored for Humanitarian of the Year for Breast Cancer Awareness by the Artists In Music Awards.
Event Organizer, Glitter Rose, is a 2-time winner in the 2013 Artists In Music Awards for Best Rock Artist and Album of the Year for Dead or Alive. She won Best Music Video for her video “Buda Negra” at the 2013 Bare Bones International Film Festival. Also in 2013, she was honored with the prestigious nomination for Texas State Artist – State Musician by the Texas Commission on the Arts and was chosen as one of the Top 3 Bands in Los Angeles, CA for Hard Rock Rising 2013 Global Battle of the Bands. She’s received more nominations in the 23rd Annual Los Angeles Music Awards and the 2014 Artists in Music Awards. Her endorsements include Gibson Acoustic Guitars, Orange Amplifiers, Warrior Guitar, Fishman Acoustic Amplification, Telefunken Elektroakustik, BAE Audio, Rotosound Music Strings, DiMarzio, Moody Leather, Rebel Boards, Guitar Hands Hand Care and Peter Grimm Hats.
For 2014, the Lifetime Achievement award will be given to legendary Singer Songwriter and Career Actress, Michelle Phillips, as the only surviving member of The Mamas and the Papas. In 1998 at the thirteenth annual induction dinner, Phillips and The Mamas and the Papas were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in New York City.
Mikey Jayy of the Artists In Music Awards will also present the Humanitarian of the Year Award to recipient David Harrison Levi. Since 1969, Levi has donated a lifetime of humble servitude to organizations including the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Easter Seals, United Way, and many others. When Levi’s sister passed away from cancer in 2010, Levi began to dedicate his life to raising awareness and the fight against cancer related diseases. Levi began organizing charity events for organizations that included St. Jude and Susan G. Komen and other cancer related organizations.
100% of the proceeds from this event benefit The Los Angeles County Affiliate of Susan G. Komen. Auction items include Telefunken Elektroakustik, Rebel Boards, Peter Grimm Hats, OBEY, “The Wrecking Crew”, Malibu Solstice Wines, Moby’s Coffee and Tea Co., painting by Annie Siqueiros, and more.
