Professor Douglas W. Arner and Professor Jin-Chuan Duan address at 'Asian Digital Finance Forum & Awards'

'Asian Digital Finance Forum & Awards' will be hosted by the Asian FinTech Academy (AFTA) in collaboration with Colorado, USA -based American Academy of Project Management (AAPM) and Global Academy of Finance and Management (GAFM), on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at Hilton Colombo.

Professor Douglas W. Arner, the Kerry Holdings Professor at the University of Hong Kong (HKU), will deliver the keynote address while Professor Jin-Chuan Duan, the Jardine Cycle & Carriage Professor of Finance at the National University of Singapore (NUS) will deliver the special address.

The event will be a combination of virtual and physical events with the participation of a number of distinguished professionals across the world.

Prof. Arner is the Founding Director at the Asian Institute of International Financial Law (AIIFL), an Associate Dean at the Faculty of Law and an Associate Director at the HKU-Standard Chartered FinTech Academy.

Prof. Arner has served as a consultant with among others, the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, Alliance for Financial Inclusion, APEC, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Islamic Financial Services Board and Development Bank of Southern Africa.

He has lectured, co-organised conferences and seminars and been involved with financial sector reform projects in over 30 economies in Africa, Asia and Europe.

He has been a visiting professor or fellow at Duke University, Harvard University, Hong Kong Institute for Monetary Research, IDC Herzliya, Mcgill University, Melbourne University, National University of Singapore, Queen Mary University of London, University of New South Wales, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and Zurich University, among others.

He has authored and co-authored a number of books in the subjects of economic and financial law, regulation and development.

Prof. Arner has served as Project Coordinator of a major five-year project funded by the Hong Kong Research Grants Council Theme based Research Scheme on 'Enhancing Hong Kong's Future as a Leading International Financial Centre'.

Prof. Duan is the Executive Director of the Asian Institute of Digital Finance (AIDF), a university-level institute in the National University of Singapore (NUS), jointly founded by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), the National Research Foundation (NRF) and NUS.

AIDF aspires to be a thought leader, a FinTech knowledge hub, and an experimental site for developing digital financial technologies as well as for nurturing current and future FinTech researchers and practitioners in Asia.

Prof. Duan is the Co-Founder & Chairman of CriAT, a Singapore FinTech company spun off from the National University of Singapore.

CriAT specializes in Deep Credit Analytical Technologies and promote “Going Deep” in both technology and application in the credit risk domain. It productize and commercialize its proprietary, new-generation technologies to help financial institutions on Intelligent Transformation in risk and investment management. It provides a suite of analytical data & tools, and enterprise solutions to serve Banks, Insurance Companies, Asset Managers in the US, China, and Asia.

Prof. Duan has been a professor of finance or fellow at McGill University, Hong Kong University of Science & Technology, University of Toronto and National Taiwan University, among others.

He has published award winning research papers on the subjects of banking and finance.

Prof. Duan has been listed as a noteworthy management consultant, finance educator and director by 'Marquis Who's Who'.
