Data center products and services company Vertiv (NYSE: VRT) will be reporting results this Wednesday morning. Here’s what investors should know.

Vertiv beat analysts’ revenue expectations by 12% last quarter, reporting revenues of $2.64 billion, up 35.1% year on year. It was a stunning quarter for the company, with a solid beat of analysts’ organic revenue estimates and an impressive beat of analysts’ EBITDA estimates.

This quarter, analysts are expecting Vertiv’s revenue to grow 24.8% year on year to $2.59 billion, improving from the 19% increase it recorded in the same quarter last year. Adjusted earnings are expected to come in at $0.99 per share.

Analysts covering the company have generally reconfirmed their estimates over the last 30 days, suggesting they anticipate the business to stay the course heading into earnings. Vertiv has missed Wall Street’s revenue estimates twice over the last two years.

Looking at Vertiv’s peers in the electrical equipment segment, only Acuity Brands has reported results so far. It missed analysts’ revenue estimates by 1.5%, delivering year-on-year sales growth of 17.1%. The stock traded up 3.3% on the results.

Investors in the electrical equipment segment have had steady hands going into earnings, with share prices up 1.4% on average over the last month. Vertiv is up 16.5% during the same time and is heading into earnings with an average analyst price target of $171.74 (compared to the current share price of $177).
