Grassroots Leaders Call on Congress to Protect the Vote of Every American Citizen

CHARLESTON, W.Va. - April 1, 2025 - PRLog -- Citizens for West Virginia Election Integrity (C4WVEI) and the Election Integrity Network (EIN) have joined forces to support the passage of the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, a crucial measure ensuring that only U.S. citizens can register and vote in federal elections.

Election integrity remains a top priority across the country, with thousands of volunteers working to increase transparency and accountability in the voting process. By partnering with EIN, C4WVEI gains access to national election integrity initiatives, legislative efforts, and resources aimed at strengthening voter protections in West Virginia and beyond.

The SAVE Act enforces voter eligibility laws by requiring documentary proof of U.S. citizenship upon registration, mandating the removal of noncitizens from voter rolls, and imposing penalties on election officials who knowingly register noncitizens. It also allows citizens to take legal action against officials who fail to uphold these voter protections.

Ed Fisher, Founder of C4WVEI, emphasized the bill's importance:

"The right to vote is the cornerstone of our republic. The SAVE Act guarantees that only American citizens determine our nation's future. Without citizenship verification, our elections remain vulnerable to manipulation. We urge West Virginia's representatives to support this critical legislation."

Cleta Mitchell, Founder of EIN, reinforced the urgency of this initiative:

"Election integrity is not a partisan issue—it's an American issue. The SAVE Act is a necessary step in securing our elections and restoring public confidence. Voter rolls must exclude noncitizens, and election officials must be held accountable. Every legal vote must count, and every illegal vote must be stopped. Now is the time to act."

C4WVEI and EIN are calling on Representatives Carol Miller and Riley Moore to vote YES on the SAVE Act and urge Senators Shelley Moore Capito and Jim Justice to lead the effort in the Senate.
