Dr. Razumenko has been a researcher at the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary, since 2019. His doctoral thesis, “Clinical Trials, Cancer, and the Emergence of Human Research Ethics in Canada, 1921-1980,” earned the University of Saskatchewan Doctoral Dissertation Award in the Fine Arts & Humanities. His ongoing research examines how Canadian cancer clinical trials evolved from a narrow biomedical model into a patient-centered framework that integrates ethics, compassion, and innovation.

Clinical trials remain a cornerstone of progress in prostate cancer research. According to the National Cancer Institute, more than 70 percent of new cancer treatments approved since 2010 have emerged from clinical trials that directly involved prostate cancer patients.
