About the Author

It all started years ago when L.E. Orth and her husband purchased their 15-acre farm. She was working as a Marketing & Admissions Director for a Senior Living Community. A friend talked her into purchasing her first goat, Leonard. It all snowballed from there. She began breeding goats for kids to show at 4-H when she discovered how absolutely calming baby goats were. She and her husband found themselves outside every evening cuddling with the goats; adults and babies both. They called it their “defragging time.” All the worries of the day just magically melted away. She then began bringing them to work with her so the residents could snuggle with them, and the concept of “Goat Therapy” began. Since roughly 2018, she has been providing what we call "Goat Therapy" to many friends and family. Now she travels with her animals to Senior Living Communities, Special Needs Schools & Adult Day Cares, Inner-city Schools, birthday parties, and Employee Appreciation Events. Basically, anywhere you need them! In 2022, her farm became a 501(c)3 nonprofit, and Dream to Reality Farm, LLC was born.
