Motive Vision 25

“Our mission is to empower the people who run physical operations with AI-powered tools that make their work safer, more productive, and more profitable,” said Shoaib Makani, co-founder and CEO of Motive. “At Vision 25, we showed how Motive is using AI to break down silos between safety, operations, and finance teams and replace manual workflows with intelligent automation.”

“Motive’s AI-powered platform has transformed the way we operate,” said Dwayne Morrison, Sr. Director, Safety & Compliance at Southwind. “By unifying our safety, operations, front line team members, and finance teams on one integrated system, we’ve improved driver safety, significantly reduced risk, and unlocked $500K in fuel savings as well as $2 million in insurance premium cost savings, which directly impact our bottom line. The visibility and automation Motive provides are essential to helping us work safer, move faster, and run more profitably.”

New Safety AI Models Prevent the Leading Causes of Collisions

Driver fatigue causes over 100,000 crashes and 800 deaths each year, while lane swerving and unsafe parking contribute to thousands of additional injuries and collisions. At Vision 25, Motive announced three new safety AI models to address these risks head-on:

  • Fatigue Index analyzes more than 10 fatigue indicators like yawning, eye rubbing, lack of movement, and abnormal speed changes to detect and alert on drowsy driving before a crash.
  • Lane Swerving Detection flags repeated swerving over time, often a sign of fatigue or distraction.
  • Unsafe Parking Detection alerts managers in real-time when a vehicle is pulled over in a high-risk area, helping to prevent “sitting duck” collisions.

The Motive Driver Safety product leverages generative AI to simulate, annotate, and train AI models on tens of thousands of real-world driving scenarios. Motive curates data from its AI Dashcams, which capture billions of miles each month across a broad range of unsafe driving events. It also uses generative AI to safely simulate and annotate rare or high-risk behaviors at scale. This approach accelerates the development of highly accurate, context-aware AI that detects safety risks in real-time and alerts drivers with life-saving speed. In a recent study, Motive customers reduced collisions by up to 80% within one year of AI Dashcam deployment.

AI Assistant Alerts Time-Sensitive Issues So Teams Can Take The Right Action In Real Time

Operations teams are navigating overwhelming complexity across every aspect of running a fleet — from checking fault codes and tracking weather to locating drivers and adjusting dispatches. That’s why Motive is introducing AI Assistant, an agent that operates across the Motive platform. AI Assistant simplifies the day‐to‐day by surfacing critical, contextual insights, alerting to time-sensitive issues, and suggesting the best actions to address them in every aspect of our product.

Take weather, for example. AI Assistant monitors live weather data, and instantly alerts managers when a severe storm is detected. With a single click, managers can warn their impacted drivers, skipping the manual, untargeted communications of the past.

AI Assistant will be embedded everywhere across the Motive experience, starting with fault codes and weather. It will soon expand to unsafe parking and other critical real-time situations to deliver more targeted insights, more proactive alerts, and more contextual actions that help organizations simplify operations and improve efficiency.

Stop Fraud Before It Happens With Motive’s AI Controls and $250,000 Guarantee

Worldwide card fraud losses are projected to exceed $43 billion in the next year, with U.S. businesses alone expected to lose $12.5 billion in 2025. A 500-vehicle fleet can lose over $250,000 a year in unauthorized transactions due to skimming, fuel theft, and out-of-policy spend.

Motive introduced the industry's highest Fraud Protection Guarantee, covering up to $250,000 in losses annually when customers enable AI-powered fraud controls on the Motive Card. Unlike standalone card solutions, Motive combines vehicle telematics data with Motive Card payments data and uses AI to automatically decline transactions when:

  • A vehicle is too far from the fuel location.
  • The fuel level is already above the threshold determined by the fleet.
  • There is a cheaper alternative close by.

Motive Analytics Brings Real-Time Answers to Every Team

Safety, operations, and finance teams struggle to get a complete picture of their organization because they’re relying on disconnected legacy tools that don’t adapt to growing complexity or connect the dots across the organization in real-time.

To solve this, Motive launched Motive Analytics, a new, integrated analytics experience that gives safety, operations, and finance teams real-time answers — no coding required. Built directly into the Motive platform, it includes:

  • live dashboards with prebuilt views across safety, fuel, fleet performance, and cost
  • drilldowns for root-cause analysis and trend detection
  • executive-ready views that tie daily operations to financial outcomes

Coming later this year, customers will be able to analyze their data with AI, using natural language processing to answer complex questions across safety, finance, and operations data instantly.

Managing Your Workforce at Scale with Motive Workforce Management

Managing a physical workforce today is harder than it should be. Teams are often stuck manually managing the entire driver lifecycle — from onboarding and tracking qualifications to managing timecards, assigning training, and coaching. These processes are often still done on paper or across disconnected systems, increasing the risk of missing critical details like an expired license or a missed safety training.

With Motive Workforce Management, all those processes now live in one place — inside the same platform customers already use to manage their drivers, vehicles, and equipment. Built on the Motive Integrated Operations Platform, it’s connected by design and powered by AI to automate repetitive tasks, flag risks, and free up teams to focus on what matters most.

Motive’s AI-powered Integrated Operations Platform was built to replace the fragmented systems that have slowed physical operations for too long. In an environment where complexity drives up costs and visibility is limited, customers need more than another tool; they need a better way to run their organization. Motive gives customers exactly that: a unified solution that simplifies operations, delivers real-time insights, and scales effortlessly with growth. For fast-moving operations, Motive isn’t just a vendor; it’s a long-term partner built to grow with them.
