Surgimate Expands C-Suite Leadership

Stacy Kilgore named Chief Financial Officer; Bharath Perugu named Chief Product and Technology Officer

Surgimate, a leading provider of surgical coordination software in the U.S., today announced the appointment of Stacy Kilgore as Chief Financial Officer and Bharath Perugu as Chief Product and Technology Officer.

Kilgore, who most recently served as CFO for e-commerce software provider Linnworks, brings more than 25 years of financial management experience to Surgimate. With extensive expertise in strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions and operational execution, Kilgore is uniquely equipped to lead Surgimate’s financial operations and support its dynamic growth strategy.

“Surgimate’s outstanding reputation in the surgical coordination space—along with its deep commitment to customers and employees—immediately stood out to me,” Kilgore said. “I look forward to working with the executive team to drive growth, identify strategic opportunities and ensure our financial practices position us strongly for the future.”

Perugu joins Surgimate with more than 20 years’ experience in healthcare information technology, informatics and interoperability. He also brings deep expertise in the digital health and electronic health record (EHR) ecosystem, with industry experience that includes past stints at eMDs, VisionWeb and Office Practicum, among others.

“Surgimate has consistently proven its ability to streamline surgical coordination and improve patient outcomes with technology,” Perugu said. “I’m thrilled to collaborate with the team to enhance our product capabilities, deepen our integrations and build next-generation features that address our customers’ evolving needs.”

The appointments of Kilgore and Perugu follow a string of strategic moves for Surgimate, including its recent acquisition of ImplantBase. That transaction, which closed in February 2025, expands Surgimate’s software offerings to help medical device manufacturers and distributors better manage sales and inventory.

“Stacy and Bharath will play an instrumental role as we continue to invest in our product, processes and people,” said Kraig Brown, CEO. “Their decades of experience will help us accelerate our strategic plan and drive greater operational excellence. Most importantly, they’re a natural fit for our culture, and they share our commitment to serving our customers and team members well.”
