Forbes awards spots on its prestigious, annual list based on an independent survey conducted in collaboration with Statista, a leading global data and business intelligence platform. More than 217,000 U.S. employees of companies with a minimum of 1,000 employees in the U.S. were surveyed, and 6.5 million employer evaluations were considered in the scoring of companies, which was based on personal evaluations by employees, as well as public evaluations by friends and family members of employees or members of the public who work in the same industry. Personal evaluations were weighted much more heavily.
