CISA Director Jen Easterly, CIA Director Burns and National Cyber Director Inglis to Speak at 13th Annual Billington CyberSecurity Summit on Sept. 7-9

Heads of DIA and US Space Command Also Headline In-Person Event

Jen Easterly, CISA Director, DHS, will join an impressive group of over 150 speakers to kick off the 13th Annual Billington Cybersecurity Summit, taking place September 7-9 in Washington, DC at the Washington Convention Center. Director Easterly will discuss new CISA cyber initiatives, priorities, and where her organization fits into the larger US cybersecurity effort. Other headliners already confirmed to speak include CIA Director William Burns, LG Berrier, Director, DIA and Gen. James Dickinson, Commander, United States Space Command.

“Director Easterly is leading during a time of intense change amid a backdrop of global cyber threats. The important insights she shares during the conference will help participants navigate an increasingly complex cyber landscape,” explained Thomas K. Billington, CEO, Billington CyberSecurity, a leading cyber education company for executives founded in 2010. “She joins over 150 other top leaders at the summit, which will continue our mission of enhancing cybersecurity for our country and its allied partners.”

In her opening fireside chat, Easterly will address critically important perspectives for this key government agency, including her goal for women to make up 50% of the cybersecurity workforce by 2030. Cybersecurity at DHS has become a department-wide and national priority; and both CISA and DHS have new authorities and responsibilities through various White House and Congressional actions. At last year's summit, a series of new DHS initiatives at the conference, including new groundbreaking cybersecurity standards for the transportation sector, were announced. Since then, the new Cyber Safety Review Board and the Joint Cyber Collaborative have also launched.

Designed to address the nation’s pressing cyber needs, the three-day event returns in-person after two years going virtual and explores “Transforming Cybersecurity Through a Unified Approach.” The Honorable Chris Inglis, National Cyber Director, EOP, and John Sherman, CIO, DOD are also among the more than 150 speakers that will participate in panel discussions, breakout sessions, fireside chats, and awards. Topics range and will include election security; securing infrastructure, federal, state, and private sector engagement; development of a National Cyber Incident Response Plan; game changing disruptive technologies; managing and growing a cyber workforce; and security in light of the Ukraine.
