Eight Performance Food Group Truck Drivers Selected for International Foodservice Distributors Association Truck Driver Hall of Fame

PFG inductees have more than 226 combined years of safe and reliable driving

Eight of Performance Food Group Company’s (PFG) (NYSE: PFGC) truck drivers were recently named to the 2022 International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA) Truck Driver Hall of Fame. IFDA’s hall of fame program honors the foodservice industry's top drivers for their outstanding records of service and safety.

“At PFG, we understand and recognize the essential role our delivery professionals play in transporting products to the many customers who rely on us every day,” said Jeff Williamson, senior vice president, Operations at PFG. “Our transportation team values a commitment to safety and teamwork, and these eight individuals live those values every day. We are proud to celebrate their successful careers and acknowledge this incredible achievement.”

The PFG drivers inducted into the IFDA Truck Driver Hall of Fame include:

  • Harvey Ferris, 28 years of service
  • Alan Graczyk, 30 years of service
  • Michael Holley, 38 years of service
  • George Travao, 26 years of service
  • Homer Whitten, 25 years of service
  • Randall Williams, 26 years of service
  • Robert Ybarra, 28 years of service
  • John Zamora, 25 years of service

To be eligible for consideration for IFDA’s Truck Driver Hall of Fame, drivers must have at least 25 years of employment with an IFDA member company and have no moving violations or chargeable accidents within the last five years.

“It’s exciting to honor these hard-working professional drivers who are truly essential to our economy, national security and way of life,” said Mark S. Allen, president and CEO of IFDA. “Our drivers are the heart of the foodservice distribution industry – enabling our member companies to safely and efficiently deliver food and supplies to professional kitchens across the country, even during times of crisis.”

All PFG drivers are required to complete a defensive driver training program to enhance safe driving habits and hazard perception. The training focuses on areas such as reduced involvement in potential collisions and decreased self-induced driving stress.

The 2022 Truck Driver Hall of Fame class will be honored at the IFDA Distribution Solutions Conference Sept. 14-16, 2022, at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, Fla.
