Quext Grows Executive Sales Team With Two New Hires to Drive Strategic Expansion

Seasoned sales principals to focus on accelerating Quext’s buildout in multifamily proptech

Quext, a Texas-based technology company that offers leading-edge technology for the multifamily industry, recently appointed Melissa Giacalone and Ravi Kandala as the newest members of its executive sales team. Giacalone now serves as Quext’s Vice President of National & Institutional Sales, and Kandala is Executive Vice President of Sales for the company.

Giacalone and Kandala will focus on driving nationwide implementations of the company’s amenity-based product offerings, specifically Quext Connect, a property-wide managed high-speed WiFi solution for multifamily, and Quext IoT, a patented smart apartment management platform that reduces upfront capital costs and increases property value. Their leadership will play a pivotal role in demonstrating the value of telecommunications and smart apartment solutions to Quext’s growing client base.

“With more than 35 years of combined expertise, Melissa and Ravi offer a breadth of top-tier industry knowledge that will enable us to serve more multifamily communities,” said Dave Gilles, CEO, Quext. “While Melissa and Ravi are known as highly-regarded professionals in this particular space, we recognize that they are invaluable assets to our team and are poised to help increase brand visibility and overall awareness of our intuitive and powerful technologies.”

Giacalone comes to Quext with more than 15 years of experience in the multifamily space and expertise in national account sales. Prior to joining Quext, Giacalone played a crucial part in generating brand recognition and forging partnerships for Rent Dynamics. Not only has Giacalone worked for companies like The New York Times, The Washington Post and Valet Living, her vast sales knowledge and background in improving existing client retention will aid in maximizing revenue growth for Quext.

Kandala joins the Quext team with two decades of experience in the multifamily and real estate industry. He began his career as a commercial broker and asset manager before moving to Chicago in 2004, where Kandala spent four years working for Jupiter Communities as its Director of Real Estate. Kandala's extensive experience ranges from contract negotiations to operations and asset management and has held additional senior leadership positions with Valet Living, SightPlan, and most recently Rent Dynamics. With Quext’s variety of apartment technologies, Kandala will assist in introducing its capabilities to key customers in both current and new markets.

The Quext team has officially welcomed Giacalone and Kandala, and both will continue to grow the sales team throughout this year and beyond.
