By: 3BL Media

SOURCE: KeyBank

DESCRIPTION:

In keeping with its mission to promote sustainability while supporting clients and helping the communities it serves thrive, KeyBank donated used surplus office furniture with a replacement value of approximately $330,000 to several non-profit organizations in Cleveland including:

As part of its recently extended and expanded National Community Benefits Plan, KeyBank pledged to focus on sustainability by reducing its environmental footprint. With this donation, KeyBank is not only honoring its pledge, but also helping these organizations accommodate growth and need for services they provide by furnishing their spaces at little to no cost. All furniture was delivered to each non-profit for free or at a significant discount. This was particularly important as many organizations are expanding their services due to challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It is heartwarming to know that our staff, clients and volunteers will have updated furniture that everyone can enjoy,” said Rick Kemm, Executive Director of the May Dugan Center. “Many of our clients live at or below the poverty threshold and deserve a welcoming space when they come to the Center for services. The majority of our clients have experienced some form of trauma in their lives, so a welcoming environment is critical to their recovery. We are very grateful to KeyBank for the donation of furniture that will be used for many years.”
