Digital Networking welcomes Tareq Bustami

Digital Networking, one of our Business Units under the proposed merger, will now be led by Tareq Bustami, following the departure of Tom Deitrich from his role as Senior Vice President and General Manager at Freescale. Tom, who had planned to be part of the new NXP MT, has instead accepted a role as Chief Operating Officer for a company outside the semiconductors industry. The change of leadership in Digital Networking will not affect the progress of the proposed merger, nor its role within the new NXP.

As Tom’s successor, Tareq brings extensive industry experience, in senior roles within Freescale, LSI and AMCC. Under his leadership, Digital Networking will continue providing leading-edge networking processor solutions and high performance innovations to drive the Internet of Things.

Tareq will join the MT on Day One, reporting directly to me.
