On May 6, 2009, Golden Star Resources Ltd. issued a press release announcing its financial results for the quarter ended March 31, 2009. Please note that “Operating cash flow before working capital charges” for the first quarter of 2009 on a per share basis was incorrectly reported as $0.847 per share on page one of the press release distributed and should have reflected a value of $0.084 per share. A copy of the press release, as corrected, is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated by reference herein.
