| ITEM 2.02. | RESULTS OF OPERATIONS AND FINANCIAL CONDITION |
On November 9, 2005, Collectors Universe, Inc. issued a press release announcing its financial results for its first quarter of fiscal 2006, which ended on September 30, 2005. A copy of that press release was attached to a previously filed Current Report on Form 8-K dated November 9, 2005.
Following the issuance of that press release and the close of the securities markets on that day, the Company conducted a conference call to discuss its financial results for that quarter. A press release was issued on November 3, 2005 to advise investors of the conference call and to inform them of how they could listen in to the conference via the internet or a toll free phone number. A copy of the transcript of the conference call is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated into this Current Report by this reference.
In accordance with General Instruction B.2 of Form 8-K, the information in this Current Report on Form 8-K, including Exhibit 99.1, is being furnished and shall not be deemed “filed” for the purposes of Section 18 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 or otherwise subject to the liabilities of that section, nor shall it be deemed incorporated by reference in any filing under the Securities Act of 1933.
